Chapter Mission Statement:

Families with Children from China, Southern New Jersey Chapter is a not-for-profit organization that primarily serves families who intend to or have adopted children from China, though our Membership is open to any families or organizations that wish to participate in our activities. Our mission is to: 1. Create a community of families and a peer group of children with shared experiences and concerns, where they can share their life experiences and work together to address common issues and enjoy common benefits. 2. Provide resources to our Membership, such as information, education, and organized cultural and social events, that will (a) support Member families in preparing for adoption from China and in raising their adopted family members, and (b) help families understand and appreciate the culture of China, while strengthening our adopted children's sense of identity and belonging in their new home country. 3. Provide an information resource to the interested public, regarding issues related to adopting and raising children from China.
